Oaks Fire Company and Relief Association

Squad 63 was dispatched to assist the Phoenixville Fire Dept as RIT for a house fire on Washington Avenue. Upon arrival the crew performed a quick exterior survey of the home to check for hazards and then placed ground ladders to the third floor windows to give interior crews a secondary/emergency means of egress. A search of the building discovered a victim in the residence who did not survive. Once the fire was placed under control Oaks firefighters were reassigned to the manpower pool where they were assigned overhaul duties on the 3^rd floor and assisted repacking of hose on ENG 66-1 to place the unit back in service. Squad 63 was released by Phx command at approx. 4:40 AM.
