Many residents of UpperProvidenceTownship do not realize that all of the firefighters within the township are volunteers. The volunteer fire service has a long & proud history in the United States and you can be a part of this nationwide fellowship of professionals.
Join the proud, the brave, and the untiring volunteers who protect and serve your community.

Ask yourself. “Do I have what it takes to give my limited discretionary time to serve my community?” “Do I want to feel the satisfaction of helping others for the shear pleasure of knowing I did a good job?” If the answer is YES, please give us a try.

Message from the Members:

The Oaks Fire Company has a long and distinguished history serving the residents and businesses located in UpperProvidenceTownship during hurricanes, floods, fires and other emergencies. As a 100% volunteer organization we are dependent on residents to volunteer their time to support the community.

Over the past 100 years a select few volunteers have freely given of their limited discretionary time 24 hours per day, 365 days per year in all types of weather to protect you, your family and your property without any thought of compensation. Unfortunately the number of volunteers is shrinking as demands for our time increases and an increasing number are performing multiple roles as both emergency service providers and as administrative staff to keep the Company functioning.

The Oaks Fire Company needs your help to fill critical vacancies. As a not-for-profit organization that does not charge for its services, we are in need of volunteers to serve as firefighters, fire police and administrative staff. Currently our members are corporate officers, research scientist, engineers, and a full range of white and blue collar managers, technician professionals, and retirees’ who share a common desire to serve the community. Please read on to see the positions we need to fill.
